What's New In The Studio: The Handmade Pop-Up

[ Five New Coastal Works ]

Available November 4th at

The Handmade Pop-Up

For the last several weeks, I have placed my focus in the studio on the many upcoming holiday events. Since starting my small business, I have made some changes in my personal life as well; realizing how incredible "shopping small" for the holiday season can be. Rather than feeding into the large corporations and companies, my fiancé and I now enjoy purchasing and giving handmade items from all over the world. Wrapping these items, you feel the love and care behind each stitch, each weave, and each stroke. There is nothing more intimate than choosing and giving a handmade gift for those you love.

For some, the most difficult part of shopping small is finding outlets to these forms of business. Check your local paper + online forums to visit craft markets and fairs-- and even search the hashtag #shopsmall on social media to explore makers from around the globe. Shopping small doesn't necessarily mean paintings, weavings or photographs. The possibilities are endless- and there is something for everyone. From toys to woodworking, candles to flatware.. find the perfect gift for any age or interest.

Start with browsing the 200+ vendors over at The Handmade Pop up-- which will open on November 4th!

Five of my original works will be available, ranging in sizes to make the perfect addition to any home. Two undercurrents pieces and three seascapes have been the focus in the studio, and I am excited to share the final outcome with you all. Each work was created based on photographs taken during my recent trip to the coast of Italy. See you on November 4th!
